  Donor and Gift Management Features and Benefits

The Donor and Gift Management module is designed to manage your fund raising and endowment building activities. We have highlighted some of the features and benefits of this module below.   • Financial Integration: Full integration with General Ledger. The type of recipient fund automatically determines the debit and credit account for the post to General Ledger Journal. Entering a transaction only once reduces data entry and improves accuracy.

  • Basic Profile Integration: The standard communications features of the Profile module are available for prospect and donor development--contact management (with automatic reminders), categorization of prospects/donors into affiliation groups, targeted mailings, variable salutations, relationship tracking (mother/daughter, financial planner/client) and fund associations (donor advisor/advised fund).

  • Donor page: Supplementary Profile page for prospects and donors that provides fields for categorizing donors. The Donor page amplifies the Profile data and serves to mark prospects and donors within the Profile name and address list for easy retrieval.

  • Special Donor/Profile Integration: Prospect and donor tracking. Complete Donor promise, pledge and giving history can be accessed immediately, and inquiries into Donor history are quick in the Profile module. Basic gift entry can be accomplished quickly, providing easy contribution entry for fund-raising campaigns.

  • Gift Codes: Code gifts by type, source, solicitor, purpose, county, match type (one-for-one) and employer ID Code. Gift categorization is essential for analyzing the source of your gifts and the efficacy of your development efforts.

  • Gift acknowledgements and receipts: Automated via integration with Microsoft Word, with text varying depending on who made the gift. Generate a separate notification automatically for the fund holder, or, in the case of memorial gifts, for the surviving family member. Automation in this and all communications is crucial for operational scalability.

  • Track nonbinding pledges: Use the Promise record to the Donor's Profile to track nonbinding pledges. (The optional, fully integrated Pledge Management module should be used for binding promises). The Promise tracking system is important for assessing development efforts, which result in deferred gifts.
