The Pledge Management module provides an easy, automatic system for complying with Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) requirements regarding unconditional pledges. • Comprehensive Pledge Tracking System: Records binding pledges of contributions, single or multipayment schedules, regular or irregular.
  
  
• Basic Profile Integration: The standard communications features of the Profile module are available for prospect and donor development—contact management, categorization of prospects/donors into affiliation groups, targeted mailings, variable salutations, easy name and address clip for single letters, relationship tracking and fund associations.
  
  
• Donor and Gift Management Integration: Fully integrates with the Donor & Gift Management module. Select a donor with outstanding pledges in Gift Entry, and FIMS alerts you and lists pending pledge payments, to which you can apply the current contribution. When entering a regular gift to be matched, FIMS automatically creates a pledge for the matching organization.
  
  
• Financial Integration: When a pledge is posted, FIMS can automatically create the necessary General Ledger journal entries to record the receivable, which is then eliminated when the payment is posted. Entering a transaction only once reduces data entry and improves accuracy. Although the pledge post creates General Ledger Journal entries, the pledge entry person does not need to know debit and credit accounts for routine contributions.
  
  
• Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Requirement Compliance: Important when recording unconditional assets. FASB requires all nonprofit organizations track binding promises as revenue. FIMS offers you the option of accruing pledges.
  
  
• Pledge Acknowledgements and Reminders: Items can be automated by exporting data and integrating with Microsoft Word. Text can vary automatically depending on who is receiving the acknowledgement. Exporting data and merging letters in Microsoft Word reduces workload for employees.
  
  
• Basic Pledge Entry: Quick and easy contribution entry for fund-raising campaigns. An installment plan is built automatically for the user.
